Maura O’Rourke everyone should have a place in the choir paintings October 14 - 21, 2018 Opening reception Sunday, October 14, 3 - 6 pm. Artist talk 5 pm. Please join us and welcome celebrated Dublin painter and longtime friend of Louisville, Maura O’Rourke. She is most known locally for her vital early contributions to the Green Grass/Blue Grass/New Grass project in which artists from Ireland, Northern Ireland and the greater Louisville area traveled and worked together for exhibitions and cultural exchange. O’Rourke entered the American market with her prints in 2011. O’Rourke’s longstanding commitment to cultural exchange as a pathway to peace is evident in everyone should have a place in the choir. Her paintings are timely, deceptively simple meditations on the value of our differences in the creation of beauty and new possibility.
